Short description of MR70

MR70 is used for sealing mould infestations on hard-to-reach and inaccessible surfaces where mould remediation through cleaning and prevention is not possible. This may include roof structures, beneath floors and within cable ducts. MR70 encapsulates the mould and ensures that it can no longer release spores and particles into the surrounding environment.

For professional use only.

How to use

Remove the moisture source and dry the area. Loose material containing mould spores is vacuumed where possible.

MR70 is applied by brush or spraying. Drying time is approximately 1-2 hours before the surface is touch dry. After approx. 24 hours, the surface is ready for overcoating. Drying is best at a temperature of 20°C and a relative humidity of 60 %. Tools and utensils used for treatment can be cleaned with soap and water after use.

The coverage is 4-8 m2 per litre depending on the absorbency of the wood.

Ensure good ventilation during treatment and during the drying period.

See the MR70 safety data sheet for more information.

Important information about sealing

If sealing is chosen over mould remediation, it is essential that the agreement is clearly defined with the property owner and users to avoid misunderstandings - both now and in the future.

Sealing does not remove the mould or discolouration; it encapsulates and renders the infestation harmless. On visual inspection, it may therefore appear as if the mould is still active.

It is therefore crucial that the property owner and users receive documentation of the treatment carried out - including information about the method and product used, who carried out the work and when the treatment was carried out. This documentation can later be used to prove a previous, correctly treated and harmless mould infestation, for example when selling the property.

OBS!

  • The product must be stirred before use.
  • Surfaces treated with MR70 may have reduced vapour permeability and may therefore act as a vapour barrier.
