ProtoxEncapsulator

ProtoxEncapsulator is an agent for sealing mould infestations in inaccessible places where mould remediation is therefore not possible.

  • Seals mould infestations in hard-to-reach places
  • Does NOT fight mould
  • To be used by professionals ONLY

The benefits of ProtoxEncapsulator

In hard-to-reach places such as roof structures with sloping walls, under blocked floors and in cable ducts, it can be difficult to combat mould with mechanical cleaning. Here, a sealant can stop the spread of mould spores by sealing the infestation. This neutralises the infestation and ensures it doesn't spread further. With ProtoxEncapsulator you get a strong seal that protects the indoor environment from mould spores from the infestation.

ProtoxEncapsulator is tested and approved

With ProtoxEncapsulator you can improve your working environment over other sealants. It is water-based and has a low MAL code of 00-1. This means that the product is not classified as hazardous, harmful to health or similar. This means that when you use ProtoxEncapsulator, you comply with the Danish Working Environment Act's requirement to always use the least hazardous product for the job.

Application of ProtoxEncapsulator

What is ProtoxEncapsulator?

ProtoxEncapsulator is a sealant to stop the spread of mould infestation in inaccessible places. The product does not fight the infestation, but seals and neutralises it by preventing the spread of mould spores.

Be aware that surfaces treated with ProtoxEncapsulator will have reduced vapour permeability and may act as a vapour barrier. Remember to take this into account when choosing a treatment method.

Sealing

Sealing may be the only and therefore best way to prevent the spread of mould spores from mould infestations in inaccessible places, such as roof structures with sloping walls, under blocked floors, in cable ducts etc.

Documentation of sealing

If you choose sealing instead of mould remediation, it's important to be clear with the property owner and occupants to avoid any misunderstandings now or in the future.

Sealing does not remove the mould or discolouration, but encapsulates and neutralises it. A visual inspection of the treated area may therefore appear as if the mould infestation is still active.

That's why it's important that the owner/users of the property have documentation showing what treatment has been carried out, by whom, when and with which product. Then they can later - for example when selling the property - document that it is an old, well-treated and harmless mould infestation.
