Specialists in building remediation
Protox is a Danish company with production in Denmark, established in 2003. We specialise in remediation of mould, wood-boring insects, wood-degrading fungi and bad odours in the home.
Our solutions are used indoors and outdoors for cleaning, disinfection, prevention and sealing after fire, cloudbursts and flooding, mould, insect and fungal infestations in buildings and homes, and for bad odours in homes after e.g. moisture damage and mould infestation.
Protox's solutions are aimed at professional users and consultants, including damage services, contractors, craftsmen, architects, consulting engineers and others who work professionally with building restoration. To ensure the correct use of our products, we regularly organise courses and theme days for customers and partners. Protox products are available in most DIY stores in Denmark.

The story started back in 1982
In 1982, newly qualified biologist Ole Munck joined GORI as an industrial researcher. Ole researched indoor climate and fungal attacks in wood and masonry, while developing wood preservatives and insecticides.
In 1990, Ole Munck and a partner from Goritas established Dansk bygningsanalyse with advice on mould damage, among other things. During the 90s, mould became a major issue, especially in schools and kindergartens, which led to an increased demand for mould products.
In early 2003, Ole Munck and his partner decided to go their separate ways. With his extensive knowledge of prevention and control of mould, fungi and insects and with the product Hysan in his portfolio, Ole started Protox ApS in 2003.
Protox's products are currently used in several different segments and we deliver to several countries including Norway, Sweden, Germany, Austria, Australia, Taiwan and South Korea.
The future is sustainable
From the start, Protox has had a very specific guiding principle to develop effective products for the renovation and maintenance of buildings that do not leave behind waste and new challenges. For this reason, in 2019, Protox hired Henrik Møller Jørgensen to lead the company's green transition.
It has contributed to a wide range of sustainability initiatives Among other things, Protox has been ISO certified in quality management, environmental management and occupational health and safety management. Protox has also joined the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and developed an LCA database with detailed information about the environmental impact of Protox products throughout the process - from raw material extraction to disposal. We share this data with our customers to support our customers' goals in the green transition.
