The benefits of ProtoxDes surface disinfection
One of the most important things about a good disinfection is that it is both effective and gentle. With ProtoxDes Surface Disinfection, you get both - both for the surface to be disinfected and for the environment. The disinfectant kills the microorganisms on the surface, e.g. bacteria and viruses.
At the same time, it is gentle on surfaces that can withstand water and salt, because ProtoxDes Surface Disinfection is based on hypochlorous acid, which is formed through the electrolysis of salt water. After use, it breaks down into oxygen, water and table salt. This means that you do not need to rinse afterwards, but only wipe afterwards with a cloth.
ProtoxDes surface disinfection therefore leaves no residual chemicals. This makes ProtoxDe's Surface Disinfection gentle on the working environment during the treatment and the indoor environment after treatment. And the product is both alcohol-free and perfume-free.
The method has been known since the 1970s and it is known today that hypochlorous acid is more than 100 times as effective for surface disinfection as ordinary chlorine (hypochlorite) and hydrogen peroxide (hydrogen peroxide). And that is without bleaching textiles and similar materials.
ProtoxDes Surface Disinfection supports the UN's sustainability goals in the best possible way, because it is produced with sustainable energy and after disinfection naturally breaks down into its starting materials – water and table salt. Production and use thus form a closed cycle that only consumes the supplied renewable energy.
ProtoxDes surface disinfection has been tested
ProtoxDes Surface Disinfection is tested according to EN standards EN 14476, EN 1276 and EN 13704. The test results document that ProtoxDes Surface Disinfection kills bacteria and viruses. The results were measured after 5 minutes on clean surfaces.
At the same time, no cases of sensitization or allergy to the active substance hypochlorous acid have been registered within the concentration limits used for disinfection. This means that you improve your working environment when you use ProtoxDes Surface Disinfection compared to many other disinfectants.
ProtoxDes surface disinfection is also not subject to labelling. It can be used by everyone – both private and professional. It must also be used on surfaces that come into frequent contact with food.

Where do you use ProtoxDes Surface Disinfection?
- May be used on all surfaces that can withstand water and salt.
- May be used on surfaces in connection with food.
- ProtoxDes does not bleach delicate surfaces such as upholstered furniture, carpets or clothes - but in some cases it requires a post-treatment with water to avoid salt shields.
- Copper and brass surfaces/items should be dried with a cloth wrung out in water, as they can be sensitive to salt.
Working environment and safety
Neither the product nor the active substance is classified as free according to the CLP regulation. There are therefore no special precautions when using ProtoxDes.
Note: All products containing water carry a risk of drying out the skin with prolonged or repeated use. People with particularly delicate or very dry skin can therefore advantageously use protective gloves.
Application
ProtoxDes is applied with a spray and then wiped with a cloth after approx. 5 minutes
Aftertreatment
ProtoxDes requires no post-treatment.
