Information on the phasing out of INSEKT (ready-to-use)
On 22 December 2026, INSEKT (ready-to-use) will be phased out of PROTOX's product range.
INSECT (ready-to-use) must no longer be marketed or sold after 22 December 2026.
Products purchased before 22 December 2026, may continue to be used until 20 June 2027.
Until a new ready-to-use solution is available, we will continue to offer INSEKT KONC. (Concentrate to be diluted).
Background
The background to the phasing out of INSEKT (ready-to-use) is that ECHA (the European Chemicals Agency) has not renewed the approval of the active substance cypermethrin, which is contained in the product. As a result, all products on the market containing cypermethrin may no longer be marketed or sold after the applicable transitional periods.
The product will be gradually phased out in the various sizes, including 1 l, 2.5 l and 5 l.
New product for wood-boring insects under development
We are already working on developing a replacement for INSEKT (ready-to-use). We expect to be able to present a new solution as soon as the development and approval process is complete, and we will, of course, keep our customers informed.
