How to recognise mould
Moulds are often seen as green, black, brown or white patches that can range in size from a pinhead to a 5-crown. Infestations are completely flat and often have a furry surface.
Moulds are often found on woodwork in bathrooms, window sills and other damp places. Mould can also be found on or behind wallpaper, plaster and mortar in brick and concrete walls. Mould is also typically found on foods such as bread, cheese and fruit.
Moulds do not decompose the infested material.
