ProtoxSealer is an agent for sealing mold infestations in inaccessible places where mold remediation is therefore not possible.
- Seals mold infestations in hard-to-reach places
- Does NOT fight mold
- To be used by professionals ONLY
The benefits of ProtoxForsegler
In hard-to-reach places such as roof structures with sloping walls, under raised floors and in cable ducts, it can be difficult to combat mold with mechanical cleaning. Here, a sealant can stop the spread of mold spores by sealing the infestation. This neutralizes the infestation and ensures it doesn't spread further. With ProtoxForsegler, you get a strong seal that protects the indoor environment from mold spores from the infestation.
ProtoxForsegler is tested and approved
With ProtoxSealer you can improve your working environment over other sealants. It is water-based and has a low MAL code of 00-1. This means that the product is not classified as hazardous, harmful or similar. This means that when you use ProtoxForsegler, you comply with the Danish Working Environment Act's requirement to always use the least hazardous product for the job.
Application of Protox Sealer
What is ProtoxSealer?
ProtoxSealer is a sealant to stop the spread of mold infestation in inaccessible places. The product does not fight the infestation, but seals and neutralizes it by preventing the spread of mold spores.
Be aware that surfaces treated with ProtoxSealer will have reduced vapor permeability and may act as a vapor barrier. Remember to take this into account when choosing a treatment method.

Sealing
Sealing may be the only and therefore best way to prevent the spread of mold spores from mold infestations in inaccessible places, such as roof structures with sloping walls, under blocked floors, in cable ducts, etc.
If the sealing is to be done in inhabited areaWhere the sealed area has an open connection to the indoor environment, use ProtoxSealer. The product has the same good sealing properties as ProtoxAkvagrund2but contains far less fungicide, and like ProtoxMold No off-gassing of fungicide to the indoor environment.
If the sealing is to be done in uninhabited areawe recommend ProtoxAkvagrund2 instead of ProtoxSealer. ProtoxAkvagrund2 has a relatively high content of fungicides and is approved as a dedicated wood preservative. Uninhabited areas can include unoccupied attics, under floors and places without contact to the indoor environment.
Documentation of sealing
If you choose sealing instead of mold remediation, it's important to be clear with the property owner and occupants to avoid any misunderstandings now or in the future.
Sealing does not remove the mold or discoloration, but encapsulates and neutralizes it. A visual inspection of the treated area may therefore appear as if the mold infestation is still active.
That's why it's important that the owner/users of the property have documentation of what treatment has been carried out, by whom, when and with which product. Then they can later - for example when selling the property - document that it is an old, well-treated and harmless mold infestation.
