ProtoxKombi Aqua has been tested and approved
ProtoxKombi Aqua has all the necessary approvals according to Danish and EU legislation. The product is tested and approved according to EN standards EN 152, EN 46 and EN 118 after aging and washing out according to EN 84/EN73.
ProtoxKombi Aqua is approved as a wood preservative in PT8.
In Denmark with approval number 578-26.
In Norway with approval number NO-2020-0191
In Sweden with approval number 5622.
ProtoxKombi Aqua has MAL 00-1 and contains no solvents.
Use of ProtoxKombi Aqua
What is ProtoxKombi Aqua?
ProtoxKombi Aqua is wood protection against attacks by wood-decomposing fungi (e.g. Real house fungus, Yellow Log Fungus and White Wood Fungus), wood-destroying insects (e.g. Boring Beetles and House Bucks) and mould. The product is intended to protect woodwork in classes 2 and 3 (that is, woodwork under the roof and exterior wood that is occasionally moistened). ProtoxKombi Aqua is not intended for wood in contact with the ground, e.g. posts and piles that are dug down.
Where do you use ProtoxKombi Aqua?
- Used on new and old woodwork
- May be used outside the vapor barrier, e.g. on windows, external doors, cladding, fences, carports and sheds
- Must NOT be used within the vapor barrier (that is, inside the home)
- Used on wood with a temperature above 5°C, a relative humidity below 80 % and a wood moisture below 18 %
Preparation
ProtoxKombi Aqua is ready to use and must not be diluted further.
Consumption is approx. 0.2 liters per m2.
The product must be stirred before use.
Always read the safety data sheet before using the product.
Application
ProtoxKombi Aqua can be applied with a brush or roller.
Avoid spillage of the product on the ground or in watercourses.
Always carry out the treatment on a reinforced surface or with a cover.
Aftertreatment
The drying time is approx. 24 hours at 23°C and a relative humidity of 60 %.
Utensils and tools are cleaned with soap and water after use.
ProtoxKombi Aqua must be stored cool and frost-free in the original packaging.
The product has a shelf life of 2 years in unopened packaging if stored correctly.
Empty packaging and residues must be handed over to the municipal waste scheme for hazardous waste.
For outdoor use: After finishing the treatment, the surface should be treated with a pigmented (covering) surface product to protect the wood against degradation caused by the sun's UV rays and washing away by rain. ProtoxKombi Aqua can be painted over with all water-based surface products. If you want an oil-based surface treatment, the treatment with ProtoxKombi Aqua must first be COMPLETELY dry.
