Insect repellents such as ProtoxInsekt are generally approved for use in use class 1 cf. DS/EN 335-1. That is, indoors, where there is no risk of direct humidification or rehumidification as a result of condensation (if this is the case, we have a use class 2 or 3 situation).

There are a number of situations where a use class 1 situation becomes a use class 2 situation, e.g. in the event of a pipe break under a floor or condensation as a result of blocked or missing ventilation. When repairing the broken pipe or re-establishing the ventilation, the construction becomes dry and we again have a use class 1 situation where Protox Insect can be used.

Products such as ProtoxInsekt may only be used by professionals, as it is assessed that they have the expertise to determine which usage class the situation belongs to.

An oxidizing agent is a substance that chemically breaks down mould, bacteria, viruses and bad odours.

Common to the oxidizing agents Protox use in ProtoxHysanProtoxBioxProtox AbsenceProtoxMille and Protox Cloudburst  is that they strain the indoor climate and the working environment as little as possible.

Sodium bisulphite and sodium thiosulphate are not found in either ProtoxHysan or ProtoxBiox, but are listed in the products' safety data sheets, as they are used to neutralize ProtoxHysan and ProtoxBiox in the event of a spill or spill.

Chlorine dioxide is a very unstable and reactive gas which acts as a disinfectant because it breaks down (oxidises) the cell membrane of bacteria, fungi, viruses etc.

Chlorine dioxide is broken down very quickly by sunlight, leaving only oxygen and salt (table salt).

Hypochlorite is the active ingredient in well-known household products Chlorine, Chlorrent etc., which for decades have been some of the most widely used disinfectants in Denmark.

The Danish Environmental Protection Agency has placed hypochorite on their list of undesirable substances (LOUIS). The Danish Environmental Protection Agency suspects that hypochlorite forms environmentally and health-damaging by-products when it comes into contact with substances that occur naturally in nature and in particular in the aquatic environment. That is why the Danish Environmental Protection Agency is working to have hypochlorite banned in the EU.

Moreover, is hypochlorite listed on the Danish Environmental Protection Agency's list of undesirable substances (LOUIS).
