Sustainability initiatives

Sustainable future

At Protox, ESG and sustainability are a priority throughout the entire process - from the idea phase and product development to delivery and training in the use of our products.

It is also our ambition to support and actively contribute to the green transition of our customers and partners by sharing our knowledge, experience and data.

Protox's path to a more sustainable future includes:

  1. ISO certification - ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001
  2. Connecting to Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)
  3. Development of a LCA database
  4. ESG reporting of the company's carbon footprint.
  5. Protox Code of Conduct

How we work to reduce packaging consumption

We are committed to our climate accounting and have joined the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to ensure that we work systematically and responsibly with our climate targets.

With the aim of reducing our packaging consumption and thus CO2-emissions, we are working to change the composition of products that require particularly heavy packaging to those that can be stored in lighter standard packaging.

Among other things, we work with:

  • Implementation of packaging made from recycled materials. We will increase the share of recycling so that at least 20 % of all packaging will be made from recycled materials by 2026.
  • Phasing out 20-liter cans. This will reduce the packaging weight per liter by 30 %.
  • Launch of Protox Insect Concentrate as an alternative to Protox Insect ready-to-use. It will reduce packaging consumption by at least 80%.
